Big and baby

As you may know, I’m in my Lazy Era, and as such I’ve been mulling on scale — specifically, creative scale.

My in-built (read: inculturated) drive to do the most when I do something creative can lead in a few directions: I can flame out, or I can freeze up — neither of which is particularly conducive to sustained (and sustaining) creativity.

So as I was planning for the podcast, I started thinking: What if I gave myself breathing room? What if I gave myself opportunities to create bite-sized pods along with big-gulp ones, too? What if I adjusted my own expectations around depth and length when it came to programming the podcast?

And thus, the minisode was born. I’ll be posting minisodes throughout the season to punctuate my longer, heftier episodes; they’ll focus on Little Reviews of books, maybe some of my own writing, and bits and bobs related to creativity: anything from current inspo to smaller projects to maker shoutouts. I’m running the gamut, and I refuse to pressurize it — all minisodes will be short, sweet, sassy lil somebodies that run 10 minutes or fewer.

Here’s mini the first, and surprise, surprise, it’s about books. :)

xx, aa
