Kermit the Frog is a sibyl

“Someday we’ll find it / the rainbow connection / the lovers, the dreamers, and me.”

That lil green dude knew what’s up: sometimes you just gotta search around a bit to find creative inspiration — and for me, it falls far from the binary, dichotomous nature of creative routines, existing more closely to the sublime, the uncertain, the rainbow-bright:

The ways creative work gets done are always unpredictable, demanding room to roam, refusing schedules and systems. They cannot be reduced to replicable formulas.

— Rebecca Solnit, Men Explain Things to Me

So in episode 6, I’m serving up some spicy hot takes about routines v. rituals + negative self-talk v. negative capability (yes, that’s right; we’re down to clown with John Keats!), and sharing a few things that are inspiring me right now, from cool science facts to Grammys fashion to intense and beautiful musings from poet Saeed Jones.

Hawt Linx 4 U, aka, all the stuff I mentioned in the pod <3
